The disposition numbers are aggregated by disposition type and criminal conviction rates from FYs 2010-2012, and reported for individual agencies (Hawaii State Judiciary, Hawaii Paroling Authority, and the Department of Public Safety).

This study of the Level of Service Inventory-Revised (LSI-R) and the Adult Substance Use Survey (ASUS) for the FYs 2009 - 2011 reporting periods determines the predictive accuracy of the LSI-R as a criminogenic risk instrument, and the ASUS as a risk assessment tool for offenders with substance use problems. The objective of this study is to validate the accuracy of the LSI-R and ASUS in specifying risk-classification levels for sentenced offenders in Hawaii. Pertinent criminogenic and substance use domains are evaluated for predictive validity, based on a three-year recidivism analysis.
This report is a three-year follow-up recidivism study that tracks rearrests for Hawaii's FY 2009 offender cohort. A total of 2,847 offender assessments were compiled from the State of Hawaii's Probation Services, Hawaii Paroling Authority, and Department of Public Safety. This study report documents progress toward reducing adult criminal offender recidivism in the State of Hawaii by 30 percent.
